Coolmine RFC host 7’s and 15 aside Blitz

Category: Announcement

By: Coolmine RFC

Coolmine RFC was the venue for a U/14 and U/16 7’s and 15 aside blitz. The blitz was attended by St Peter & Pauls ( Dunboyne), Hartstown Community College ( Blanchardstown) and Portmarnock Community College. The U/14 teams were introduced to 7’S rugby with great success. Each team played approximately 7 matches and the enjoyment of the format was clear to see. The U/16 teams played 15 aside blitz matches with all three teams playing 4 matches. All the matches were closely fought and some great skills and rugby was on display. The event was just the start of great things to come in Fingal County this season. In March a greater Fingal County 7’S for U13/14, U15/16 and U17/18’s is currently being arranged. Please contact your local clubs Youth Coordinator for further details. On hand to help with the arrangements and refereeing for the day was Coolmine RFC Youth development officer, Richie Perkins, Leinster Rugby’s Jack Hanratty and the event was organised by Leinster Community Rugby Officer, Christian Stemmet. Should you require any further assistance or information on developing youth 7’s rugby please contact Christian Stemmet, Christian.stemmet@leinsterrugby.ie or 0879118642
