Weekend Results
A great win for Coolmine’s 1st XV away to top of the table rivals Newbridge beating them 8-11 in a close fought battle. A satisfying result after being beaten earlier in the season at home by the Kildare side. This result leaves Coolmine lying in second place 2 points behind Newbridge and very much back in contention for the league title. They face another difficult task next week as they take on New Ross at home who trail them by only one point in third place. Our seconds fall back to second place for the first time this season after their fixture was cancelled however they have a game in hand and only trail the league leaders by 2 points. The “Super Threes” ran riot in an 86-0 try fest against Clondalkin in difficult under foot conditions. They share the top slot with Old Belvedere, both sides on 28 points. The news was not so positive for our U21’s who suffered a 40-8 defeat to St. Marys away. They remain in 5th place at the moment and face UCD away in two weeks time. Photos feature action from all three of this weekends games.
